This is Moi Dix Mois’ official website.
With four singles and four albums, Moi Dix Mois has gotten their fair share of fame and fortune in Japan and in Europe. For me, Dixanadu is Mana-sama’s greatest album so far. Dark and electrifying. I hope to hear more of the good stuff that made Dixanadu like a dulcet melody of the violin to my ears. Here’s the transcript of CD Japan’s interview with Mana-sama. I still do love him in Moi Dix Mois, but I can’t help but miss his Malice Mizer self. I really miss the girly, shy, boy in a dress Mana-sama. Now, he’s totally a head-banging, testosterone-induced rocker, waving around Satan’s symbol everywhere in Moi Dix Mois. But hey, you can’t really choose whom you’ll fall in love with, right?![]()
On the 28th of March this year, Dixanadu was released with the following tracks:
1 – Dispell Bound

There’s no such word as “dispell bound,” but who cares! They’re Japanese anyway and the music rocks! Did Mana-sama mean to “not spellbind” or did he just add the “di” because it would sound like “dix”?
Every devil worshiper would comment “Cool! Now we have a theme song.” Or should I say anti-devil worshipers because it’s called DISpell Bound???
Anyway, perfect music to accompany a circle ’round a bonfire.
2 – Angelica ![]()
At first, I didn’t like this track, but after giving it an Nth shot, I found out that although it’s not one of Mana-sama’s best songs, the harmony of the harpsichord and the electric guitar was quite something. さすが マナ様! Only he could pull it off! Beautiful lyrics too. Really dreamy.
3 – Metaphysical

The best song in this album! I think there are 3 chord progressions in this song. That’s why it rocks! My favorite is the third one. I’m not sure of there’s a difference from the first and the third chord progression, maybe just a change in rhythm. Anyway, I don’t have a degree in music so i don’t know what I’m talking about.
Definitely, an upper! ![]()
4 – Exclude

Cool! Love all parts of the song, especially Seth’s demonic laugh at 3:17. Ooooh, love how it gives me goosebumps. Makes me wanna play it over and over again. “E, X, C, L, U DE, Fade away, vanish!” Kinda like a magic spell…
5 – Last Temptation ![]()
It’s sad and ok. Liked the chorus and the drums.
6 – Immortal Madness ![]()

The title says it all. It’s probably what vampires hear on a subconscious level.
7 – Neo Pessimist
![]()
Love the chorus! 残酷な 夢さえも。。。For some weird way, I remember Yu Yu Hakusho with the music. Like it’s been made especially for its OST.
8 – Xanadu

Love how sad the song makes me feel. Perfect song to accompany your brooding. What did Mana-sama mean for the title Xanadu, I wonder? The Xanadu I know has something to do with Khublai Khan…
I do have an idea for the PV in case Mana-sama would let me direct it.![]()
9 – A Lapis Night’s Dream (SE) ![]()

When I first listened to Dixanadu, I thought this was part of Lamentful Miss. It makes a good intro for it, I must say. It would also make a nice accompaniment for a Castlevania intro.
10 – Lamentful Miss ![]()

Wonderful song! Greatly shows off their twin guitars. *sniff sniff* Damn I miss Malice Mizer!
I wonder where Kouji-san is now? I can’t help but notice that Seth’s voice in this song sounds a lot like Gackt. Mana-sama must’ve been missing Gackt during the recording for this song and was yelling to Seth “Do it like Gackt does!”![]()
11 – Lilac of Damnation ![]()
Doesn’t really leave a lasting impression on me. I tend to forget how the melody goes…
12 – Sacred Lake (SE) ![]()
Mmm, I feel like this one’s been put in the album just for a filler. It feels like a graduation march song.
Over all, I’d give it a gazillion ![]()

stars! Hail Mana-sama for sticking to what he does best and looking good doing it!
Moi Dix Mois’ Pessimiste. Still with Juka on vocals. Enjoy!
